Established as a Not for Profit Company on November 30, 2015, the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Conservation Fund Inc. (SVGCF) general purpose, as stated in its By-Laws, is to provide a sustainable flow of funds to supplement existing and future funds from any other sources to enable the Company to support the long-term management and expansion of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines National System of Protected Areas and other activities that contribute substantially to the conservation, protection and maintenance of biodiversity.
Based on the SVG’s protected areas and biodiversity context, threats and management needs, the SVGCF will direct its efforts strategically to achieve a unifying vision and mission. More specific goals will focus the SVGCF’s efforts toward the vision and mission, and a set of core values will guide its overarching philosophy.
Mission
To provide funding to support conservation of biodiversity in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
Vision
To ensure marine and terrestrial ecosystems of St. Vincent and the Grenadines are healthy and communities are active stewards in its conservation and management.

The SVGCF is committed to openness, transparency, and honesty in its operations and in issuing grants.
Cooperation and Inclusivity
The SVGCF will work in partnership with communities and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), academia, government agencies and the private sector.

The SVGCF will work towards and in support of the conservation and sustainability of St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ ecosystems and species, including parks and protected areas.
Accountability
The SVGCF is accountable for all actions and decisions internally and to its constituents.
Education
The SVGCF is committed to education both internally and externally and will work to implement best practices from conservation trust funds, and to educate about conservation and management of natural resources through its activities.
